What are some good ways to save money?

I might be getting a puppy that requires a lot of care. I need to find ways to either save or earn money. Help?

Before you can have a truly workable savings plan you must know how much you have comming in and where it is all going…Track your spending for say a month (write down everything you spend when you spend it)at the end of the month if you have done that you will see everywhere you spend…then you will be able to make cuts…you will be surprised how many times you buy little things that you can stop buying and save the money…and yes it does add up.

Best way to make extra money in college?

Besides getting a dead end job at some store, what would an entrepreneurial mind think of to make extra money in college. (Besides tutoring, selling blood/bodily fluids, and work-study). Thanks for your thoughts.

I can think of a pretty shady way to make money. If you have been diagnosed (or can get a doctor to diagnose you now) with ADHD, you can opt to sell your prescription Adderall to college students. More and more kids are taking Adderall as a “study drug,” because it increases concentration and keeps people awake and energized longer than they could without the pill. I’m not sure if it’s illegal to do so, but I wouldn’t bet on it…

How can I save my money up for something important?

I'm trying to save money up for something really expinsive.I'm only 12 so I can't run my own buiness.please help me!

First of all I would like to congratulate you on setting a goal! Many people can't do that when they are over 40. Do you get an allowance? Do you babysit or anything else for money? If you do, ask your parents to take you to their bank to open up a bank account for you. Once you earn any money at all, take up to 75% of it and deposit it into the bank account. The 25% is for your spending money since it is difficult to deal with no money. If you are able to put away more than that, do it. You will be surprised at how fast it adds up. I do hope that you continue to save your whole life. Because you have time on your side(being 12 and all), you have the opportunity to accumulate a fortune during your lifetime. Once you have a job, plus expenses like clothes, gas for the car etc., make sure you deposit at least 10% of every dollar you earn. Think of it at a bill or expense that you have to pay and it will become habit.
Ask your parents if you save up a certain amount of money if they will match it. If your parents can't, perhaps you can ask your grandparents. With a goal like this, they will see that you are responsible and might be willing to help.
Good luck and I do hope you reach your goal! Keep it up and retire a millionaire!

Does anyone know a legitimate way to make some extra money?

I am looking for a way to make some extra money. I already work full time and have an 18 month old daughter, so I need something that I can do from home at night and on weekends. I don’t want any scams, or cold calling, or selling, and I don’t want anything where I have to pay money to get started. Does anyone know of any legitimate work-at-home part-time jobs where I can work my own hours and make some extra money? I am in the Dallas, Texas area.

Baby sit, pet sit, run errands for someone by getting their groceries or dry cleaning. If you live in an apt., put a note at the mailbox that you will walk someone's pet if they have to work late or go somewhere. A friend once paid me $20 to buy her a pair of evening pumps for a special occasion. Please be careful to avoid weird internet scam "jobs". Good Luck!

Edit: Sell Avon – Very, Very minimum start up.

What is the easiest way to save money?

I want to save as much money as possible.

What is the easiest way to save money?

(I have bills too)

Pay off any debts that have a high interest rate first. High interest charges can bleed you out quickly every month. Then look at your discretionary spending and see if there is anything you can cut back on. If you are young, there are several ways to save that are tax deductible, such as IRAs and 401(k) accounts. You can withdrawal from these accounts tax free at age 59. I would also look for ways to save in energy costs if possible. I would come up with a specific amount that you want to budget out for expenses each month and put any amount under budget into savings.

How do you save your money?

How do you save money? I started saving money by opening up an savings account and also being really thrifty.
How much do you save monthly? I am planning to save around $700 per months after I finished up paying of my credit card within a few months.

I pay myself first and last. As soon as I receive money, I transfer 1/3 into my savings so it is harder to access. Any unanticipated money I receive, I put directly into savings and that includes rebates, gifts, taxes, refunds, bonuses, incentives, etc. And, I pay myself last. Any money I have leftover after paying my bills also goes into savings. I have no debt and live below my means, so saving is pretty easy for me. Plus, I am a tightwad miser who rarely pays full price for anything. So whenever, I save money buying something, I also put the actual amount I saved into my savings, too.

How can we save money on gas and oil these days?

It seems that gas prices go up and down all the time. Sometimes, it limits what we do. Is there a way to save money?

Obviously drive less, but i when you do drive there are a few things you can do to get better mileage. Numero uno is drive the speed limit. The faster you go the worse your mileage is going to be. Number 2, make sure your tires are inflated to the max psi as stated on the tire. Also, if you drive a stick you can put it in neutral when going down hills. It's mostly common sense stuff. No jack rabbit starts, stuff like that. And use the expensive synthetic motor oil. It might cost more initially but you don't have to change it as often and you get better mileage to boot.

How do I save money on lunch or any meal?

I get fast food or eat at resturants almost on a daily basis. especially during lunch. i am wasting too much money. i wanna save up to get a 71 charger or something.

how can i get a good cheap meal? sometime i can get at costco where i buy huge quantities. fast and good in protein.
i need protein.

You have to start making and taking your own food with you..
It's healthier and you'll feel better because eating fast food has too much sodium and too much fat..
Make your lunch, dinner …
If you cook at home, make a little extra for the next day.
If you don't cook at home, you're gonna have to plan a weeks meals before you shop once a week…
Buy lunch meat, tuna, eggs, cheese, veggies, fruit, crackers, olives, dairy (cottage cheese, cream cheese, yogurt, and chocolate bars…
Get creative by looking on-line for brown-bag ideas…
Martha Stewart is one, or Rachael Ray, Food T.V network..
Have fun with it, and get a Thermos for your drinks..
You can save a lot of money not buying drinks out..Bring your own water, make Ice Tea, etc..
G'luck and I'll be thinkin' about you!
I just made my husband's lunch..2 turkey sandwiches on whole wheat with lettuce, and a bag of grapes, and a chocolate brownie….

Whats the best way to budget in order to save money for a holiday?

A small holiday is always appreciated. However money does not grow on trees! I have heard people talking about making a budget to save money, then before I know it they are off on a holiday!!
Does anyone have any ideas to budget in order to save money.

Set up a Spreadsheet on your PC.

At the top insert your TOTAL INCOME.
Underneath this, list and enter your TOTAL EXPENDITURE.
Dont forget to include misc. living expenses. (ready Cash needed for incidentals)
You will find, after a couple of months that you may be wasting a lot of money on frivolous things.
Don’t try to save too much at a time…dont leave your self short.

Save your change is one idea.

Hope this helps..and enjoy your holiday.
