If you are not extremely wealthy you are going to be busting your butt for a long time both prior and after just for one wedding day. I know that you have probably been led to believe that a wedding day should be this extravagant and magical day. But weddings are hellishly expensive. Even a cheap one is thousands of dollars. This money would be better set aside for a down payment on a home, rather than wasted on one giant party which will probably just be a stress fest anyway. In a few years time when you are more financially stable, you can always get re-married to the same guy and do the fancy ceremony then.
