I buy coupons on sites like http://brandnamecoupon.com and then I buy gift cards on discount at http://discounted-gift-cards.com then when you buy something with both of them you get an ultra discount with.

Pay off any debts that have a high interest rate first. High interest charges can bleed you out quickly every month. Then look at your discretionary spending and see if there is anything you can cut back on. If you are young, there are several ways to save that are tax deductible, such as IRAs and 401(k) accounts. You can withdrawal from these accounts tax free at age 59. I would also look for ways to save in energy costs if possible. I would come up with a specific amount that you want to budget out for expenses each month and put any amount under budget into savings.

have the money taken out of your check before you are taxed and put it into an interest bearing account. you could put it into an ira but with the economy i would not recommend that right now. if you have it taken out before you get it, you don’t miss it. really!!!!
